On Sunday, Sam took a few steps in the church foyer. On Monday, Sam took a few steps between me and the couch. But last night, he went all out! He spent a good ten minutes tottering back and forth between me and Jared and the girls. Before his first birthday, even. That hasn't happened with our babies before. I think my excitement may quickly wear off, however, when I see the trouble he can get into.
Which reminds me - should I be worried if Sam has already figured out how to push chairs up to the kitchen counter and then climb on top of them? Hmmmm....maybe instead of fretting, I'll just be happy that my busy little guy has an outlet for all his energy. And then I'll put a child lock on the knife drawer.

Jeremy figured out how to push chairs around and climb onto them (and subsequently the counter and table) before he started to walk, too! And the fascination with climbing still hasn't really worn off, six months later. We have to keep a minimal number of chairs in our kitchen, and in between meals I put them in the family room on the carpet where they won't budge. Not really feng shui, but what can you do?
I can't believe Sam is almost one...that is crazy!!!! Have you really been gone that long?? Have fun with that cute boy walking around the house!
