a last hurrah
With the school year bearing down upon us in a matter of days, we decided to have one last day of pure fun. We drove out to the coast yesterday and enjoyed a day at the beach. The weather was gorgeous, the drive went smoothly, and we all had a summer-iffic time. The perfect send off to summer vacation.

Sounds like so much fun. We've lived her for over 3 years and haven't made our way to the coast yet...better get a move on!
That picture of Nora with the giant piece of kelp cracked me up. True story: my mom once made us pick up bags of kelp off the beach because "it's delicious once you cook it the right way" but once we got home something turned out to be wrong with it or something and we didn't eat it. I don't know if we were more mortified to have to pick the kelp up off the beach or that all our efforts (and embarrassment) were for naught.
Going to the beach is different when you go with Koreans.
Kelp aside, I'm glad you guys had fun!
Seaweed is indeed delicious when cooked the right way, Faith! You cracked me up. You can't really tell in the picture because the perspective is funny, but it really was like 12 feet long and weighed about a ton. Where was she going with it, I wonder....
