I don't like to tell the whole blogosphere when Jared goes out of town and I am left at home alone with only my dagger-shaped letter opener in my bedside table to protect me. But now that he is back, I don't mind saying that Jared has been in Las Vegas from Sunday afternoon until late last night. Hence, my difficulty with spraying the wasps.
(Though I did have many kind offers from friends to do it for me - thank you, friends! Had I been able to find the wasp spray, I would have taken you up on your generous offers.)
So after Jared got home last night, he got the spray (he knew where it was, of course) and made short work of the wasp nest. So far, I have only seen one straggler buzzing around so I think my waspy days are behind me. Hooray!
Though, I'm not sure why the helpful suggestion presented in this book didn't occur to me earlier. It's such a great idea.

Oh my gosh, I had totally forgotten about that book. I always wanted to do that Oregon when the mosquitoes were always on attack.
